Alberto's cataract surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill

Alberto was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in July. The surgeon at Tarragona University Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,500, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $4,600 short.
my son has been in and out of Tarragona University Hospital since July. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Alberto struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Alberto won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
