Adriana wants to stay at home - help fund six months of care
Adriana, 83, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,800 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 83. After a stroke last September Adriana can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Adriana desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Adriana worked all of her life as a nurse, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $1,400
• Medication and prescriptions: $135
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $145
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $120
