Jerusalem
Zvi was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in August. The surgeon at Jerusalem Orthopedic Institute recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,050, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $800 short. my son has been in and out of Jerusalem Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,050 is more than we can find. While we wait, Zvi struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Zvi won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $800 goes: • Physiotherapy sessions: $510 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $185 • Travel and lodging for the family: $105 If you're reading this, thank you.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Zvi.

    • It's all in the list in the story. physiotherapy sessions is the big one at $510, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Happy to explain more.

Good luck, Daniel. It takes guts to ask. Well done. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless.
