ACL reconstruction for Andrei: covering what insurance won't
Andrei needs ACL reconstruction at Moscow University Hospital and the family is $700 short of the hospital's estimate.

Andrei was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Moscow University Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $930, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $700 short.
my brother has been in and out of Moscow University Hospital since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $930 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Andrei struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Andrei won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
