A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Valencia
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a youth football pitch - we need $1,900 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,900.
It will serve about 288 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $130
• Materials: $1,550
• Safety equipment and signage: $220
