A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Nagoya
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Cedar health centre yard that will serve 563 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,350.
It will serve about 563 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Materials: $790
• Permits and inspections: $125
• Safety equipment and signage: $230
• Tools hire and delivery: $205

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. materials comes first ($790) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
