A weekly visit for Thawatchai, 88, who lives alone in Phuket

I'm writing for my neighbor Thawatchai, who's 88. Thawatchai lives alone in Phuket, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Thawatchai loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
