A weekly visit for Rowan, 83, who lives alone in London

I'm writing for my neighbor Rowan, who's 83. Rowan lives alone in London, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives 684 kilometers away. Rowan loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
