A weekly visit for Mikhail, 82, who lives alone in Lviv

Mikhail lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Mikhail, who's 82. Mikhail lives alone in Lviv, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country. Mikhail loves cricket, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Thank you so much.

hope the doctors have good news. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care!
