A weekly visit for Ludwig, 90, who lives alone in Berlin
Ludwig lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Ludwig, who's 90. Ludwig lives alone in Berlin, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Ludwig loves knitting, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Thank you for reading my story.

hope things get better soon. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
Keep going, Rainer. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Feira de Santana donated after I showed her your page. God bless.
Thinking of you, Rainer. Your post was clear and honest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Bang Khen.
stay strong, Rainer. This could happen to any of us. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Salem!
you're not alone, Rainer. Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Sending strength, Rainer. Get well soon. Greetings from Gulu.
Sending love, Rainer. Get well soon
Thanks for sharing this, Rainer. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update. Take care.
