A weekly visit for Latha, 92, who lives alone in Madurai
Latha lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Latha, who's 92. Latha lives alone in Madurai, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Latha loves opera, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Geelong
Praying for you, Indira. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We're a small family in Mandaue but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Madurai.
Keep going. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Jakarta donated after I showed her your page.
Rooting for you, Indira. Hope you get there. Take care!
sending love. It takes guts to ask. Well done. It's not much but it's yours. Blessings.
Wishing Latha a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
Good luck, Indira. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. God bless.
so sorry you're going through this, Indira. I hope things turn around soon. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care
Hang in there, Indira. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side.
