A weekly visit for Jonathan, 78, who lives alone in Minneapolis

I'm writing for my neighbor Jonathan, who's 78. Jonathan lives alone in Minneapolis, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 225 kilometers away. Jonathan loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Glad we found this place.
