I'm writing for my neighbor Harsh, who's 90. Harsh lives alone in Siliguri, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Harsh loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Stay strong. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.

    • Thanks for sharing this. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't give up.
