A weekly visit for Haris, 75, who lives alone in Lahore
Haris lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Haris, who's 75. Haris lives alone in Lahore, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Haris loves old films, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I hope life is good to you.

Take care, Hussain. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Hope it all works out, Hussain. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless
Rooting for you, Hussain. Hope this works out for you. All the best.
Hope things get better soon, Hussain. This could happen to any of us. Don't give up
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Thinking of Lahore
Sending love. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Rajshahi!
