A weekly visit for Grayson, 85, who lives alone in Austin
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Grayson is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Grayson, who's 85. Grayson lives alone in Austin, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives several hours away.
Grayson loves gardening, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

best of luck, Katherine. Looking forward to the next update. Put this on a community board in Kano this morning. Love from Kano.
Thinking of you, Katherine. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. All the best
Take care, Katherine. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Bakersfield.
look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Please keep us posted. Greetings from Karachi!

Take care. Get well soon. God bless!
Thinking of you and your family, Katherine. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Keep going, Katherine. Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in San Diego donated after I showed her your page.
