A weekly visit for Gabriel, 79, who lives alone in Strasbourg

I'm writing for my neighbor Gabriel, who's 79. Gabriel lives alone in Strasbourg, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives 755 kilometers away. Gabriel loves old films, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
