A weekly visit for Dae-hyun, 77, who lives alone in Memphis

Dae-hyun lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Dae-hyun, who's 77. Dae-hyun lives alone in Memphis, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Dae-hyun loves birdwatching, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
