A weekly visit for Cris, 84, who lives alone in San Fernando
Cris lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Cris, who's 84. Cris lives alone in San Fernando, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives 332 kilometers away.
Cris loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Take care, Paolo. Hope the doctors have good news. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best.

Wishing you the best. Hope you get there. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Manchester
Sending strength, Paolo. Wishing Cris a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home

hope this works out for you. Wish I lived closer to Nagoya so I could bring a meal. All the best.
Take care. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings
Best of luck. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Gazipur.
