I'm writing for my neighbor Cora, who's 74. Cora lives alone in Austin, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away. Cora loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
