A weekly visit for Caroline, 86, who lives alone in Raleigh
Caroline lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Caroline, who's 86. Caroline lives alone in Raleigh, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 535 kilometers away.
Caroline loves gardening, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Glad we found this place.

You're not alone, Kevin. Wishing Caroline a smooth procedure and a full recovery. God bless
Good luck, Kevin. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest.
Stay strong, Kevin. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Ballarat
Good luck, Kevin. Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Cầu Giấy
Sending strength. Wishing Caroline a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care
sending good thoughts, Kevin. Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry!
