A weekly visit for Asma, 86, who lives alone in Montréal
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Asma is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Asma, who's 86. Asma lives alone in Montréal, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Asma loves opera, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
