A weekly ride to the San Diego Dialysis Unit for Aiden

A rota of drivers to the San Diego Dialysis Unit would keep Aiden on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Aiden has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the San Diego Dialysis Unit alone. After a foot amputation, Aiden can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 17 km each way. Aiden is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
