A weekly ride to the Salerno Dialysis Unit for Antonio
A rota of drivers to the Salerno Dialysis Unit would keep Antonio on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇮🇹 Salerno, Campania, Italy268 views
Antonio has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to the Salerno Dialysis Unit alone. After surgery on their hand, Antonio can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 31 km each way.
Antonio is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
- effort
- one weekly trip
- format
- In person in Salerno
- skills
- reliable car, clean driving record

hope it all works out. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care.
