A weekly ride to the Richards Bay Kidney Centre for Lindiwe
Lindiwe needs dialysis three times a week and has lost the ability to drive; volunteer drivers can each take one day.

Lindiwe has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Richards Bay Kidney Centre alone. After surgery on their hand, Lindiwe can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 27 km each way.
Lindiwe is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

You're not alone. Hope the doctors have good news. Love from Denpasar
praying for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
Wishing Lindiwe a smooth procedure and a full recovery
Rooting for you, Nomsa. Hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
sending love. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings.
Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Essen this morning.
Hope things get better soon. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. All the best.
