A weekly ride to the Quezon City Dialysis Unit for Elena

A rota of drivers to the Quezon City Dialysis Unit would keep Elena on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Elena has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Quezon City Dialysis Unit alone. After an eyesight problem, Elena can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 27 km each way. Elena is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Thanks for being kind about this.
