Alexander has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Moscow Dialysis Unit alone. After an eyesight problem, Alexander can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 18 km each way. Alexander is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Thank you so much.

          • good luck, Yevhen. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.

            • keep going. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Colombo

              • Thanks for sharing this, Yevhen. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double

                  • Take care. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Caloocan but we're thinking of you. All the best.
