A weekly ride to the Mexicali Kidney Centre for Consuelo
A rota of drivers to the Mexicali Kidney Centre would keep Consuelo on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Consuelo has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to the Mexicali Kidney Centre alone. After a foot amputation, Consuelo can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 25 km each way.
Consuelo is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- one weekly trip
- format
- In person in Mexicali
- skills
- reliable car, clean driving record

Sending good thoughts. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 31 people at work. Take care
Stay strong. Get well soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Khulna.
