A weekly ride to the Manila Kidney Centre for Leo

A rota of drivers to the Manila Kidney Centre would keep Leo on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Leo has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to the Manila Kidney Centre alone. After a minor stroke, Leo can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 19 km each way. Leo is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
