A weekly ride to the Los Angeles Dialysis Unit for Silvia
Silvia needs dialysis three times a week and has lost the ability to drive; volunteer drivers can each take one day.

Silvia has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Los Angeles Dialysis Unit alone. After an eyesight problem, Silvia can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 35 km each way.
Silvia is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
