A weekly ride to the Lecce Kidney Centre for Pietro
A rota of drivers to the Lecce Kidney Centre would keep Pietro on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇮🇹 Lecce, Puglia, Italy780 views
Pietro has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to the Lecce Kidney Centre alone. After a foot amputation, Pietro can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 23 km each way.
Pietro is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
