A weekly ride to the Lagos Dialysis Unit for Jumoke
Could you drive Jumoke to the Lagos Dialysis Unit on Saturday? A rota of 6 drivers is forming.
🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria339 views
Jumoke has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Lagos Dialysis Unit alone. After surgery on their hand, Jumoke can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 13 km each way.
Jumoke is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Stay strong. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Islamabad so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Lagos.
