A weekly ride to the Ikeja Dialysis Unit for Kemi

A rota of drivers to the Ikeja Dialysis Unit would keep Kemi on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Kemi has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to the Ikeja Dialysis Unit alone. After a minor stroke, Kemi can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 34 km each way. Kemi is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
