A weekly ride to the Eugene Kidney Centre for Elias

A rota of drivers to the Eugene Kidney Centre would keep Elias on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Elias has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Eugene Kidney Centre alone. After a minor stroke, Elias can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 8 km each way. Elias is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
