Could you drive Sayali to the Dwarka Dialysis Unit on Friday? A rota of 6 drivers is forming.

Sayali has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Dwarka Dialysis Unit alone. After a minor stroke, Sayali can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 12 km each way. Sayali is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Sending love, Swapna. Wishing Sayali a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected

    • Good luck. Shared it with a few friends. Don't give up. Thinking of Dwarka.

      • thanks for sharing this. Shared this with my family. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Dwarka.
