A weekly ride to the Dayton Kidney Centre for Stephanie
Stephanie needs dialysis three times a week and has lost the ability to drive; volunteer drivers can each take one day.
🇺🇸 Dayton, Ohio, United States980 views
Stephanie has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to the Dayton Kidney Centre alone. After a minor stroke, Stephanie can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 34 km each way.
Stephanie is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
I hope life is good to you.

Hope it all works out, Wesley. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.
