A rota of drivers to the Columbia Kidney Centre would keep Heather on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Heather has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Columbia Kidney Centre alone. After surgery on their hand, Heather can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 33 km each way.
Heather is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
