A weekly ride to the Campinas Kidney Centre for Diego

A rota of drivers to the Campinas Kidney Centre would keep Diego on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Diego has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to the Campinas Kidney Centre alone. After a minor stroke, Diego can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 11 km each way. Diego is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
