A weekly ride to the Arlington Kidney Centre for Rekha
Could you drive Rekha to the Arlington Kidney Centre on Saturday? A rota of 5 drivers is forming.
🇺🇸 Arlington, Texas, United States687 views
Rekha has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Arlington Kidney Centre alone. After a minor stroke, Rekha can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 22 km each way.
Rekha is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Sending good thoughts, Deepa. Shared it with a few friends.
Sending good thoughts. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Seville.
Thinking of you and your family, Deepa. Wishing Rekha a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
so sorry you're going through this, Deepa. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Saint-Denis
Hang in there, Deepa. Shared it with a few friends. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
