Aiden has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to San Diego Regional Medical Center alone. After a foot amputation, Aiden can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 10 km each way. Aiden is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • hope things get better soon. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Love from Paris.

    • Thinking of you, Faith. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care.

      • Wishing you peace, Faith. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
