A stair-climbing aid for Lucas: help me move freely
A stair-climbing aid would give Lucas independence - we're $2,950 away.

I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at the San Antonio Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,950.
My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around him. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $2,300
• Fitting and training sessions: $250
• Delivery and set-up: $230
• First-year servicing plan: $170
Thanks for reading all this.
