A stair-climbing aid for Fernando: help Fernando move freely
Fernando needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system won't fund; the cost is $800.

Fernando lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Tehuacán Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Fernando could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $800 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $610
• Fitting and training sessions: $85
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $80
