After a sudden divorce, I'm temporarily without a home. I work as a teacher's aide in Leeds and I have a steady income, but I can't find a place that will let me in without the first month, a deposit and references that I'm in the middle of replacing.
I'm looking for a spare room for 4 months. I can pay $170 a month toward bills, I'm tidy and quiet, and I'd be happy to help with cooking, shopping or yard work. I have no pets, I don't smoke, and I have three personal and work references.
I understand that inviting a stranger into your home is a big step. I'd be glad to meet in a public place first and to share my work details.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

So sorry you're going through this, Hadley. I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
hang in there, Hadley. This could happen to any of us. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best
Sending good thoughts. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Put this on a community board in Thane this morning. Thinking of Leeds.
Thinking of you and your family. I hope things turn around soon. My neighbor in Bengaluru donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Bengaluru.
