A spare room for 4 months: Eleni, working in Addis Ababa, between homes
After my landlord selling the building, Eleni needs a safe, quiet room in Addis Ababa for 4 months while getting back on their feet.

After my landlord selling the building, I'm temporarily without a home. I work as a line cook in Addis Ababa and I have a steady income, but I can't find a place that will let me in without the first month, a deposit and references that I'm in the middle of replacing.
I'm looking for a spare room for 4 months. I can pay $25 a month toward bills, I'm tidy and quiet, and I'd be happy to help with cooking, shopping or yard work. I have no pets, I don't smoke, and I have two work references.
I understand that inviting a stranger into your home is a big step. I'd be glad to meet in a public place first and to share my work details.

Hope it all works out, Eleni. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
Sending strength, Eleni. I hope things turn around soon. I'll check back for the next update. Take care.

Shared this with my family. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Mapo.
you're not alone, Eleni. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together. Take care.
