A spare room for 2 months: Danjuma, working in Lagos, between homes
Hosting Danjuma would give a hardworking a line cook the stability to find a new place.

After a house fire, I'm temporarily without a home. I work as a line cook in Lagos and I have a steady income, but I can't find a place that will let me in without the first month, a deposit and references that I'm in the middle of replacing.
I'm looking for a spare room for 2 months. I can pay $25 a month toward bills, I'm tidy and quiet, and I'd be happy to help with cooking, shopping or yard work. I have no pets, I don't smoke, and I have two work references.
I understand that inviting a stranger into your home is a big step. I'd be glad to meet in a public place first and to share my work details.
Thank you for reading my story.

Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Lagos
sending strength, Danjuma. Shared this with my family. Take care
Your post was clear and honest. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Düsseldorf.
Sending love. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. After 26 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Sending good thoughts. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
