We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $1,250 for materials.

Santos

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,250. It will serve about 223 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,250 goes: • Materials: $1,000 • Permits and inspections: $30 • Safety equipment and signage: $85 • Tools hire and delivery: $135 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Mateus
