A skate park for the Jacaranda community hall: help our neighbors in Thane
A community-led a skate park at the Jacaranda community hall that will serve 159 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 159 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $410
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $80
