A skate park for Lotus Primary School: help our neighbors in Tehuacán

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $700. It will serve about 152 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $700 goes: • Permits and inspections: $40 • Safety equipment and signage: $160 • Materials: $500 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
