A skate park: a volunteer-led effort in Montréal
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $3,300 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $620, and the remaining cost is $3,300.
It will serve about 231 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Materials: $2,300
• Permits and inspections: $105
• Safety equipment and signage: $300
• Tools hire and delivery: $595
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
