A skate park: a volunteer-led effort in Bangkok

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Park, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $750. It will serve about 589 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
