A sewing machine would change everything for Lucía
Lucía has a job offer starting in August but needs a sewing machine to get there or do the work.

I have been offered a job as a tailor's apprentice in Los Angeles, starting in August. The job requires a sewing machine, and I can't afford one. I have been unemployed for 10 weeks.
A new or used one is welcome. If you have one sitting unused, That would really help.
I'm a hard worker, with four references available. I can collect the item anywhere within 28 km of Los Angeles.
I'll take great care of it, and I'll return the favor by helping the next person in the same situation.
I can arrange my own transport; please just let me know it's available.
Thanks for being kind about this.

So sorry you're going through this, Lucía. Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
Keep going, Lucía. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 13 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything
